ABOUT US
The Hilmar FFA chapter received its official charter in 1930 and has continued to maintain its active status over the years. Since 1930, the teachers involved with the Ag Program have dedicated their lives to the development of the program and education of students. In recent years, students have been able to achieve several state and national winning titles in Dairy Cattle Judging, Small Engines, Ag Mechanics, Farm Power, Nursery Landscape and Dairy Products. Students are continually encouraged to strive for their absolute best and the teaching staff works to maintain a climate of excellence. With a strong focus on Ag Mechanics, Animal Science, Floral and Horticulture and the recent development of an Ag Business pathway, the Hilmar Ag Department continues to push students to attain goals they never believed were possible. The Ag Department currently consists of four full time AG teachers; Christie Hobby, Dick Piersma, Trey Johnston, and Monique Reid. Hilmar FFA is an example of a model program that does and will continue to care about the success of their students in high school and beyond their high school careers.
