Hilmar FFA is strong when it comes to livestock projects (or SAEs). The students involved have the opportunity to buy, raise, and sell their animal(s) at the fair. These students gain a better understanding of what it is like to care for an animal. They are responsible for maintaining the animal's health and all responsibilities that follow (breaking/training, feeding, watering, washing, etc.).
