Gianna Gonzalez - President

FFA Experience:
Gianna is currently a senior at Hilmar High School. This is her third year serving on the officer team; previously serving as the Vice-President. Throughout her time in the FFA, she has participated in multiple speaking competitions, the Dairy Products Judging Team, leadership conference, raising and showing market goats for the county fair and so much more!
FFA Accomplishments:
Gianna is most proud of placing 3rd in the state for the Job Interview Competition and being elected to serve on the Central Region Officer Team.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Gianna is most looking forward to attending the National Convention as a delegate in Indianapolis this fall.
Future Plans:
In the near future, Gianna plans to attend college and pursue a career in Agriculture.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Gianna’s favorite thing about the FFA is how members can make connections across the state through our organization.

Taylor Lockett - Vice President

FFA Experience:
Taylor is a senior and is in her 3rd year serving as an officer. She will be serving Hilmar FFA as our 2023-2024 Vice- President. She has participated in speaking competitions since freshmen year, including the FFA Creed, Impromptu and Job Interview. She joined the Dairy Cattle Judging team her sophomore year and she will be returning for her 3rd and final year this spring. She showed her first market lamb at the Los Banos Fair in 2022 and will be buying her 3rd lamb in January. She continues to develop her leadership skills by attending conferences such as National Convention, State Conference and COLC.
FFA Accomplishments:
Taylor is most proud of her development in her public speaking skills and the influence she has had on member involvement.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Taylor is looking forward to making the most of her senior year, by taking advantage of FFA opportunities and promoting school spirit.
Future Plans:
After high school Taylor plans to attend Cal Poly to major in Ag Business.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Taylor's favorite thing about FFA is working with her teammates to promote the agricultural industry within our campus.
Evan Lopes - 2nd Vice President

FFA Experience:
Evan Lopes is a senior at Hilmar High and will serve as Hilmar FFA’s 2023-2024 2nd-Vice President this year. He has participated in multiple speaking competitions including Opening & Closing Ceremony and Job Interview. He plans to continue to develop his leadership skills by attending different conferences and conventions above the chapter level. This year he will be attending the National Leadership Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana to experience and see all that FFA has to offer at the National level.
FFA Accomplishments:
Some accomplishments Evan is proud of are getting awarded as the Outstanding Vice President during the Opening & Closing Contest, getting invited to the Mariposa Job Interview Contest, & getting elected as the 2nd Vice President.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Evan looks forward to attending the different conferences, competitions, and meetings. At these events, he likes to make new friends and learn more about what FFA has to offer outside of high school.
Future Plans:
After high school, Evan is planning on attending a 4-year university to major in Architecture & minor in Ag Business. He hopes to get into Cal Poly, SLO and live up there for the next four years.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Evan's favorite thing about FFA is traveling with his fellow members to the different FFA activities around California

Mikayla Moore - Secretary

FFA Experience:
Mikayla is a senior at Hilmar High School and will be serving as the Secretary on the Hilmar FFA Officer Team. She will participate in this year's speaking competitions including the Opening & Closing Ceremony and Job Interview. She plans on attending the State FFA Leadership Convention that is held in Sacramento and National FFA Leadership Convention held in Indianapolis, Indiana to explore all that FFA has to offer.
FFA Accomplishments:
She has continued to show sheep since she was 9 years old. Another one of her accomplishments was participating in the BIG competition her freshman year of high school. The team placed 5th in State and was the 7th High Individual.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Mikayla is looking forward to many things such as showing sheep for the last time, attending state and national conventions.
Future Plans:
Next year she plans to attend MJC for two years then transfer to ASU and attend the school of business.

Joseph Oliveira is a Junior at Hilmar High and will be serving as Hilmar FFA’s 2023-2024 Treasurer. He has participated in multiple speaking competitions including Opening and Closing Ceremony, Project Competition, Creed, and Impromptu. He plans on continuing to develop his career through FFA by participating in Dairy Cattle Judging, various conferences and leadership opportunities above the chapter level. He is exited to attend National Convention in Indianapolis and State Conference in Sacramento this year.
FFA Accomplishments:
Some accomplishments that Joseph is proud of is being elected as the Merced-Mariposa Sectional Sentinel, and being named Hilmar FFA’s Star Chapter Farmer. He is proud of his advancements in his speaking ability, and plans to continue to strive to be the best he can.

Nathan Sequeira - Reporter

FFA Experience:
Nathan is currently a junior and was reelected for the position of the 2023-2024 Hilmar FFA Chapter Reporter. He joined the Dairy Judging Team his freshman year, showed his first market lamb at the Los Banos fair in 2022, and placed 1st in his Market Class. His sophomore year of high school he joined the Ag Mechanics Team and Impromptu Speaking Team. He continues to show market lambs at the Los Banos Fair.
FFA Accomplishments:
Nathan is proud of his Star Greenhand award and his Outstanding Agriculture Mechanics award presented to him by his FFA Advisors. He was also awarded the Outstanding Agriculture Mechanics award his sophomore year.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Nathan is looking forward to working in the shop with Mr. Johnston and building his Metal Fabrication project. He is excited to be part of this year's officer team and make this year fun and inspiring for the students.
Future Plans:
After high school, Nathan plans to go to a trade school and further his education in the agriculture industry.
Favorite Thing About FFA:

Oscar is currently a senior at Hilmar High School and this is his first year serving on the officer team. Danielle Peebles - Historian

FFA Experience:
Danielle Peebles is a sophomore at Hilmar High School. She is currently the chapter's Historian for 2023-2024 and this is her 2nd year of FFA. Throughout Danielle's years of FFA she has participated in Opening and Closing, the Dairy Products judging team, and has been a part of many chapter activities. She is planning on showing a goat this year, while also doing speaking competitions like Impromptu. She will also be attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis where she will learn different skills and create new memories.
FFA Accomplishments:
Danielle was very proud to be awarded with Outstanding Freshman at the end-of-year banquet, receiving Outstanding Sentinel in Opening and Closing, and going to the state competition for the Dairy Products Judging Team.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Danielle is looking forward to being able to go to speaking competitions and conventions. She is also excited to be able to promote FFA to all members and spread the word about our community.
Future Plans:
After high school, Danielle plans to go to a four-year college and medical school to be a radiologist.

Danielle's favorite part of FFA is being able to meet new people and create lifelong friendships.
