2022-2023 FFA OFFICER TEAM
Taylor Lockett - President

FFA Experience:
Taylor is a Junior and this is her second year serving as an officer. She will be serving Hilmar FFA as our 2022-2023 President. She has participated in speaking competitions since freshmen year, including the FFA Creed, Impromptu and will be partaking in job interview this year. She joined the Dairy cattle judging team her sophomore year and plans to continue that the rest of her time in high school. She showed her first market lamb at the Los Banos Fair in 2022 and will be buying her 2nd lamb in January. She continues to develop her leadership skills by attending conferences such as MFE, State Convention and COLC.
FFA Accomplishments:
Taylor is most proud of her improvement in her public speaking skills and the influence she has had on getting members involved.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Taylor is looking forward to participating in Job interview speaking competitions and working with her fellow officers to bring Hilmar FFA back to normality.
Future Plans:
After high school Taylor plans to attend a 4 year college.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Taylor's favorite thing about FFA is planning and putting on fun monthly meeting for our members in FFA.

Gianna Gonzalez - Vice President

FFA Experience:
Gianna is currently a Junior at Hilmar High School. This is her second year serving on the officer team; previously serving as the treasurer. Throughout her years in the FFA she has participated in multiple public speaking competitions, the dairy products judging team, leadership conferences, showing a goat at the county fair, and many more.
FFA Accomplishments:
Gianna is most proud of being elected to serve as the 2022-2023 Merced Mariposa sections Sentinel.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Gianna is most looking forward to putting on meetings for all of the chapter members.
Future Plans:
Gianna plans on attending college after high school and pursuing a career in Architecture.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Gianna's favorite thing about the FFA is how members can build relationships with each other around the world.
Alyssa Siebler - 2nd Vice President

FFA Experience:
Alyssa is currently a Senior at Hilmar High. She has been involved in FFA all 4 years of high school and has shown market lambs for 5 years. She has participated in multiple speaking competition, including job interview and opening and closing for 2 years receiving team gold twice and the outstanding secretary award. Alyssa has also attended almost all the sectional game nights and participated in the MFE and ALA leadership conferences . She served as the 2021-2022 Hilmar Chapter Secretary her Junior year and is now serving as our Chapter 2nd Vice Present her Senior year.
FFA Accomplishments:
Alyssa's accomplishments she's proud of is the opportunity she received to become the Hilmar FFA Delegate for the California FFA State Conference in 2022 and getting certified in animal science.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Alyssa is looking forward to making memories and gaining new knowledge.
Future Plans:
Alyssa plans on majoring in animal science at Texas A&M and becoming a large animal vet.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Alyssa's favorite thing about FFA is the memories and friends she has made through out the years in the organization.

Sophia Vieira - Secretary

FFA Experience:
Sophia is currently a Sophomore at Hilmar High school. She has showed a heifer at Stanislaus fair and participated in the opening and closing speaking competition. She also is our current 2022-2023 Hilmar Chapter Secretary.
FFA Accomplishments:
Sophia's accomplishments is receiving the opportunity to be Hilmar's Chapter Secretary, receiving 1st place in Novice Showmanship, and receiving the Reserved Champion award at Stanislaus fair.

Sophia is most looking forward to meeting new people and being more involved in FFA.

Sophia plans to go to MJC for two years then transfer to Cal Poly to become an elementary school teacher.

Jacob Ahlem - Treasurer

FFA Experience:
Jacob is currently a Sophomore at Hilmar High. He has competed in project competition, attended the California State FFA Conference and made it to state finals on the Hilmar dairy judging team. He has also shown dairy cattle for 7 years.
FFA Accomplishments:
Jacob's accomplishments that he is proud of is receiving a gold medal on project competition, getting 3rd high team at State finals, and getting elected as the Hilmar Chapter Treasurer.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Jacob is looking forward to serving as a Hilmar Chapter officer, showing cattle, dairy judging, and gaining more knowledge in his Ag classes that he will be able to use in life.
Future Plans:
Jacob plans on pursing a career in Agriculture and becoming a dairy farmer.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Jacob's favorite thing about FFA is all the memories he gains while in his Ag classes with Mr.Johnston.
Nathan Sequeira - Reporter

FFA Experience:
Nathan is currently a Sophomore and was elected for the position of the 2022-2023 Hilmar FFA Chapter Reporter. He joined the dairy judging team his freshman year, showed his first market lamb at the Los Banos fair in 2022, and placed 1st in his Market Class.
FFA Accomplishments:
Nathan is proud of his Star Green Hand award and his outstanding Agriculture mechanics award presented to him by his FFA Advisors.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Nathan is looking forward to working in the shop with Mr. Johnston this year and helping FFA get back on track and providing his chapter with fun activities to partake in.
Future Plans:
After high school, Nathan plans to go to a trade school, become a draftsman in architecture, and get his contractor license.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Nathan's favorite thing in FFA is Los Banos fair week, where he shows his market lamb and hangs out with his friends.

Joseph Oliverira - Sentinel

Joseph is currently a Sophomore at Hilmar High. He participates in Project Competition, speaking competitions, Dairy Cattle judging, and exhibits dairy cattle.
FFA Accomplishments:
Joseph's accomplishments that he is proud of is making the state team for dairy judging and being selected as the Supreme Champion at the 2022 May Day spring fair for his register dairy cow.
Looking Forward To This Year:
Joseph is looking forward to serving as our chapter officer and hopefully winning the State competition for dairy judging.
Future Plans:
Joseph plans on pursuing a career in agriculture.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Joseph's favorite thing about FFA is meeting new people and traveling to different places. He also likes to see the other aspects of agriculture that he doesn't normally see.

Evan Lopes - Historian

FFA Experience:
Evan is our Hilmar FFA chapter Historian. He is a Junior and is currently in two Ag classes. This is Evan's first year serving as an FFA Officer. Throughout his FFA years, he has participated in chapter, sectional, and state activities.
FFA Accomplishments:
Some accomplishments Evan is proud of is winning 1st place on his wood project at the fair, going to opening and closing, and getting elected as Hilmar Historian
Looking Forward To This Year:
Evan is looking forward to attending the different conferences, competitions, and meetings.
Future Plans:
Evan plans on attending MJC to stay dancing at the "On Your Toes" dance studio in Hilmar, and majoring in Architecture.
Favorite Thing About FFA:
Evan's favorite thing about FFA is traveling with his fellow members to the different FFA activities around California.
